An authentic post and beam log cabin handcrafted from local trees, the Log Cabin at Chimney Rock is one of the earliest structures built in this quaint mountain village. Located within walking distance to village shops and restaurants and less than a mile from Lake Lure, the cabin is tucked away on a meandering village lane among mature hemlock and rhododendron.
There is a loft with a slanted ceiling overlooking the great room and fireplace. Accessed by a hand-hewn log stairway, this charming hideaway has a tree house feel and is furnished with 2 double beds with a privacy wall between them. (Caution: The stairway is quite steep, so please use care when accessing the loft. Small children should not be allowed on the stairs without adult supervision.)

There is a beautiful view of Chimney Rock and the Rocky Broad River from the bench in the back yard. Rustic outside, charmingly decorated inside, it has a "cabin in the woods" feel while being easily accessible. The owners have filled the cabin with handcrafted mountain furniture, colorful rugs and country quilts. The great room has antique hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings with hand-hewn beams and a natural stone fireplace. The generous sized dining table seats 6 people, and the fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar. 
On the main floor are one bedroom with a queen bed and one bedroom with 2 double beds. There is one bath on this floor with a tub/shower. In the basement is another bath, with its own outside entrance, with a unique stone walled shower and a laundry area with a washer and dryer.
