This newly constructed log cabin is charmingly decorated with mountain style log furniture and has sparkling new appliances and fixtures. Although it is located less than a mile from Lake Lure Marina and Beach and 2 miles from the entrance to Chimney Rock State Park, the log cabin seems worlds away from the hassles of modern day life.
Stairs lead from the great room to an open loft master bedroom suite with a delightful separate sitting area and a dramatic log style king sized bed. This suite has a tree house feel and you can lie in bed and watch the birds in the trees outside your window.

The Bird's Nest is perfect for a romantic getaway in the mountains, or for a small family to enjoy the many fun-filled activities in the scenic Hickory Nut Gorge.

The 900 square foot log cabin feels much larger with its 20’ cathedral ceilings and exposed heavy timber beams. On the main floor is the great room with hardwood floors, a natural stone, wood burning fireplace, and a dining/living area with Direct TV/DVD and VCR. The open kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking and dining utensils and there is a stacked washer/dryer for your convenience. On this floor is the smaller bedroom with a double bed and one bath with a tub/shower. 
Enjoy the pretty mountain views from the rocking chairs on the back porch. Deer and wild turkey are frequent visitors to the back yard and birds will join you for breakfast at the many bird feeders. While there is another log cabin nearby, the abundance of mature hardwoods and shrubs surrounding the cabin promise lots of privacy. In Fall, the colors are magnificent.
