| The Bear’s Den A perfect place to hibernate!
As cozy and warm as its namesake, the Bear’s Den is a delightful new log cabin with a wonderful private, wooded location within walking distance to a quiet cove on Lake Lure.
The spacious master bedroom features a king bed, Appalachian rocking chair and many charming decorative accents. Its adjacent ceramic tile bath has a corner whirlpool tub for a relaxing soak after a day spent hiking or fishing. Family and friends will appreciate the two guest rooms and full ceramic tile bath which is easily accessible to both bedrooms. Stairs from the living area lead to a large loft. Furnished with a queen futon, cable TV and a game table, it is a perfect spot for either quiet reading or spirited games. |
A few hundred yards down the road is the community cove where guests can enjoy fishing and swimming. While the road is steep, it is within walking distance. Please note that there is no lifeguard on duty, so swimming is at your own risk. The Bear’s Den is only a short six mile drive to Lake Lure Marina and Beach and hiking in Chimney Rock Park. There are two championship golf courses only 10 minutes away (ask about our golf discount coupons) and Asheville, home of the Biltmore Estate, is within an hour's drive.

Located in an upscale community on the east shore of the lake, this cabin is furnished with locally crafted log furniture and decorated with a western lodge/wildlife theme. Wooden and stuffed bears and other woodland creatures can be found throughout the cabin and add the perfect ambiance to make this a truly memorable vacation accommodation.
The Bear’s Den is easily accessed from the parking area via a ramp which is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. Socializing is easy and comfortable with the open floor plan of this cabin which offers one level of living space. The wonderful 2-story great room has beautiful hardwood floors, a stone fireplace with convenient gas logs and is furnished with ample seating. A beautiful entertainment center features cable TV and a VCR/DVD player with surround sound. 
Adjacent to the great room is the dining room with a handcrafted log table with seating for 8 which is open to the fully furnished and equipped kitchen, making meal preparation a snap. There is additional seating for 2 at the bar, and a convenient laundry room off the kitchen.
Covered porches surround the front of the cabin and ample glass doors and windows offer soothing views of the woods beyond. There is also a back deck and a screened porch off the kitchen where guests can enjoy breakfast to the sound of birdsong.
