This log home retreat, built in 2005, is nestled in the mountains on over an acre of land in the heart of the scenic Hickory Nut Gorge. With its close proximity to fishing and boating on Lake Lure and hiking in Chimney Rock Park, Bearly Heaven Cabin places you in the center of activities, while being slightly off the beaten path. The spectacular 180° views of Chimney Rock and Rumbling Bald Mountain make you feel like you are truly close to heaven.
After a day spent hiking in Chimney Rock Park or fishing on Lake Lure, come home to your own mountain log cabin filled with high quality wood furniture, stone accents and charming bear figures throughout. Enjoy relaxing before the fire in the comfortable living area with high vaulted ceilings and expansive 2-story windows overlooking the mountains. Complete with cable TV and DVD/CD player, this room is open to the upstairs loft and charming kitchen with its stone-faced breakfast bar. There is also additional casual seating at the pub table.
The 26’ x 18’ deck off the living area is furnished for outdoor dining and socializing, if you can take your eyes off the magnificent view of layered mountains stretching before you. An outdoor gas BBQ grill is provided for grilling and the deck is beautifully lit with rope lights in the evenings. The main floor of this delightful cabin has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with two twin beds, and a hall bath convenient to both. The bedrooms and baths are tastefully furnished with upscale furniture, high quality linens and charming accessories.

Upstairs, the loft sitting area outside the master suite provides a quiet haven for reading or watching the light change on the mountains from the 2-story windows. The entrance to the private master suite is through double doors from the loft sitting area. Complete with king bed and quality linens, TV/DVD player and a private bath, this large room has beautiful mountain views. Bearly Heaven is accessed via a light gravel road that is less than one-quarter mile off a main paved road. While the gravel road is a little steep, 4-wheel drive is not necessary. |
